The sun slipped behind the hills, and a tiny gray cloud floated all by itself above Moonbutton Hill.
The cloud was tired, but little rumbles kept wobbling through its fluffy middle.
“Slow and soft, the sky grows still.”
First, penny and Bella showed the cloud one long breath.
The evening breeze softened, and the cloud stopped spinning.
“Slow and soft, the sky grows still.”
Next, barnaby spread a cozy blanket on the grass below.
The cloud watched everyone sit quietly and floated a little lower.
“Slow and soft, the sky grows still.”
Then, tito pointed to the first three stars.
The cloud counted each gentle twinkle instead of listening to its own grumbles.
The tiny cloud could not wear a blanket, but it could follow the same calm bedtime steps as its friends.
a tiny thundercloud paused and looked again. A small detail that had been easy to miss now seemed important.
The first idea had not been wasted. It showed what needed to change before the next try could work better.
In Moonbutton Hill beneath an evening sky, the dim lights, soft clouds or blankets, quiet sounds, and slow breathing offered more clues without making the problem feel frightening or too large.
Everyone moved more slowly, lowered their voices, and allowed the quiet to grow.
“Slow and soft, the sky grows still.” The familiar words helped everyone remember the plan and move through it in the same steady order.
This time, a tiny thundercloud checked the result before moving on. The difference was small, but it clearly pointed toward the next choice.
The group compared what happened now with what happened earlier. One useful pattern began to appear.
It breathed with the breeze, watched the stars, and settled beneath a wash of silver moonlight.
One final rumble sounded like a sleepy yawn. High above Polka Dot Puddle, the tiny thundercloud drifted peacefully to sleep.
